Just a short note on this photograph. This was commissioned by Margaritaville (Wyndam world Wide). They are getting ready to level an old resort at the location to build the new one. They wanted a photo taken on site to do initial promotions. I had a very restricted view I could use. Nothing on the right or left side of the bay could be in the photo. They wanted basically a beach shot. They had requested the local (St Thomian) management to clean the beach for me as it was littered with heavy sea grass from a recent storm.
Well the clean up didn’t happen. They needed a shot … like NOW! so this is one of 3 shots I produced for them givin the tight restrictions and failure of the local management.
They were very happy. I will post more later.
update: I ended up photography the entire resort when is was completed. This is one of the nicest resorts on the island. And they pride in themselves on the excellent service. Wanna see some more pics?
Margaritaville, a timeless concept
Margaritaville, inspired by Jimmy Buffett’s 1977 hit song, has become a global brand encompassing restaurants, resorts, and merchandise. Buffett’s laid-back persona and tropical tunes set the tone for a carefree lifestyle associated with the Caribbean. The first Margaritaville restaurant opened in Key West in 1985, and the brand expanded, capturing the essence of an island escape. Today, Margaritaville is not just a destination; it’s a state of mind celebrated by fans worldwide.
